If you didn’t catch the article on Tuesday, I wrote about the 6 conversations that you can have with your users to measure willingness to pay.

6 Practical Ways to Find Out if Your Customers are Willing to Pay
Stories from the Trenches 🫡 My co-founder and I are in the midst of adjusting our pricing and sales strategy for 2023 and, as a product person, these areas are pushing me out of my comfort zone. You want to know the real reason why it feels uncomfortable to me? I have no playbook…

🐤 Nug #1 — Unlimited, personalized bedtime stories

This gets me so excited for the future of media. Every child wants to be the hero of their bedtime stories. How much more powerful and fun will it be for them to be able to see themselves in the scenes of their imagination!

🤯 Wait what?! 🧙🏻‍♂️ Can you teleport your own kids into the AI-generated stories? This will be huge! 1. Generate a custom story, 2. Magically get your own kid to be the main character of the story... 3. Infinite custom stories made for your kids with them in them 4. repeat
So this is meta but I put a bit longer text in here.

I've somehow managed to take this ONE crappy image of my daughter and run her in an image-to-image generator to create a fictive cartoon character of her.

Then that fictive character gets thrown into different situations, I could then use outpainting/inpainting to put her in larger contexts.

What's really cool about this is that there are an infinite number of possibilities here. Art styles, location, mood, the list just goes on.

All of this was made by one blurry phone image uploaded in a screen-grabbed resolution, not even the original photo was used.

When will this end.

🐤 Nug #3 — AI for the masses

OpenAI is now accessible to the non-coders out there. This is going to unlock so many new applications, limited only by our imagination!

🐤 Nug #4 — 15-minute magic

The tracker is a beautiful piece of psychological magic. People want to know that progress is being made on their order. And even though this is “fake” in some sense, it’s exactly what the user needs.

I was very very sad when I learned the Domino’s pizza tracker is entirely fake (based solely on time since order), but I have to commend whatever engineer suggested doing that instead of spending $200 million building out the infrastructure to support it being real
