🐤 Nug #1 — The end of Google?

This is a super interesting Tweet from the guy who built the first iterations of Gmail and Google AdSense 👀

Google may be only a year or two away from total disruption. AI will eliminate the Search Engine Result Page, which is where they make most of their money. Even if they catch up on AI, they can't fully deploy it without destroying the most valuable part of their business!

🐤 Nug #2 — The Battle of AI Avatars

Peter Levels and Danny Postma (both indie hackers) built AI avatar generators and they popped off. But then this other app called Lensa exploded onto the scene through a mobile app and has been generating around $1M in daily revenue over the last 9 days 🤯 This is Peter’s post-mortem as to why they got eclipsed.

So TL;DR, my lessons learnt: = don't build on APIs = don't be scared of running ads = don't be scared to do influencer outreach = learn how to make basic iOS apps for next time But it's not over yet, let's fight 😛

@marckohlbrugge @dannypostmaa They out executed @dannypostmaa and me really well, lessons: - we built on top of APIs, limited by resources and pricing, they seem to went straight to running their own GPU servers, so less limits and lower cost = don't build on APIs 1/n

🐤 Nug #3 — Behind-the-Screens

Love hearing about the design methodologies folks use to develop beautiful, intuitive products. Fantasy is one of the best product agencies out there and this is one of their methods to lock in the navigation experience early on.

UX/UI interaction framework in @figma. Navigation structure is crucial in complex projects. Make sure it's crystal clear how to navigate through your app before starting the design. I learned this technique at Fantasy back in 2016. Timeframe: 3 weeks. Cost: $40,000

Low-fidelity wireframes prototyping in @figma. The goal was to validate assumptions along with interactions before committing to a bigger project. Timeframe: 2 weeks. Cost: $20,000 #uxdesign

🐤 Nug #4 — Framer Magic

I know Framer’s been making the rounds on Twitter lately but this example from Nate Smith is the best I’ve seen so far.

I had way too much fun with @framer’s new Scroll Transform tool this weekend. It’s just incredible. I can honestly say I’ve wanted to build site like this for years, but the tech has always gotten in the way. Not any more. See the full site: natesmith.framer.website/scroll-transfo…
